StreamNet Server
StreamNet server is an add-on software that can control a multiple number of StreamPix 4 applications running either on the same or on a network of computers. StreamNet server will control all StreamPix copies simultaneously in cases where you may need to acquire a multitude of sequences at the same time.
- With one StreamNet server running, any connected StreamPix client can be controlled.
- StreamNet must be purchased separately.
Typical usage:
Your application requires the capturing of 3 sequences simultaneously from 3 different cameras at the same time.
- Because of the camera used, the required bandwidth implies the use of 3 different computers, one for each camera.
- Hence 3 computers are required with one copy of StreamPix per computer.
- Install one StreamNet server on one of the 3 computers as master control.
- The 3 computers must be networked using TCP/IP.
- Any operation such as start recording performed on the StreamNet server will automatically start recording on each of the 3 copies of StreamPix simultaneously.
- There are not limits on the number of clients or StreamPix copies used in the network.
- Depending on the camera used, in some cases, it is possible to capture from more than one unit on the same computer.
- Immediat start recording
- Immediat stop recording with or without automatic sequence file closing
- Start recording on matching LTC time code to sequence or jpeg files
- Stop recording on matching LTC time code with or without automatic sequence file closing
- Create recording destination sequence / JPEG file based on scene / take name
- IP and Port filtering for usage under multiple Vicon Blade environment
Status broadcasting via UDP messaging: StreamNetServer can broadcast simple UDP messages to any UDP listener clients. For each action done into StreamNet, UDP messages can be sent. Pre and Post messages are available:
- Pre messsages are UDP broadcast before the action is sent to each StreamPix connected workspaces
- Post messsages are UDP broadcast after the action was sent to all StreamPix connected workspaces
- IP and Port filtering
